Thank you for your interest in possible employment with US Prisoner Transport. The following are requirements that must be met to begin the application process with this agency. REQUIERMENTS FOR EXTRADITION OFFICER:
1) Be a U.S. citizen.
2) Be at least 21 years of age.
3) Be a high school graduate or possess a GED. (PROVIDE A COPY OF DIPLOMA)
4) Not have been convicted of a felony.
5) Not have been convicted of a misdemeanor involving moral character, false statement, perjury or domestic violence.
6) Possess a valid Florida drivers License, Class C with Passenger Endorsement.
7) Must have prior law enforcement experience, military experience, or must have no less than one year experience as an armed security officer.
8) No illegal drug usage within the past three years.
9) Have an honorable discharge if served in the armed forces.
10) Be certified and posses a class ‘D’ Security Officer License in the state of Florida.
11) Be certified and possess a valid class ‘G’ Statewide Firearms License in the state of Florida.(Concealed Weapon Permit will not be recognized)
12) Must be able to travel out of state anywhere from one to nine days at a time.
13) Must have valid DOT physical medical card
Any one of the following may be cause for rejection of employment:
1) Within the past thirty-six (36) months, engaged in drug abuse of any illegal controlled substance, used, tried, tasted, experimented with, or possessed any illegal controlled substance, including Marijuana.
2) Within the past sixty (60) months used, tried, tasted, experimented with or possessed any illegal controlled substance classified by Florida Statutes as a Schedule I substance (except cannabis) or Schedule II substance (hard drugs).
3) Sold or delivered any illegal controlled substance at any time.
4) Driving Under the Influence within sixty (60) months of application.
5) Possess a felony record.
6) No visible tattoos.
In order for the application process to begin, a resume must be submitted. If selected, an initial personal interview appointment will offered. You should come prepared for the personal interview and be dressed in appropriate attire.
