Our fleet consists of 2006 and newer Ford passenger vans that have a Bob Barker or an American Aluminum Cage installed. All vehicles are equipped with compartments to isolate males, females, and violent or mentally ill prisoners. All vans are equipped with a cellular phone, notebook computer, a secure weapon storage container, and Global Positioning System.
Each prisoner is searched for contraband then placed into restraints that include hand cuffs, waist chain, and leg irons. High security / violent inmates wear black box and a highly visible orange vest marked with “PRISONER”.
Our transportation department ensures that our vans and cars are transport ready. The department’s “on duty” mechanic ensures that each transport vehicle is meticulously inspected and maintained, which limits roadside breakdowns and improves on-time transports.
